Sequence Diagram RTF Documentation
« on: January 24, 2002, 12:15:42 pm »
I tried to document an object, boundary or any component in a Sequence Diagram and then see the notes and other information come out of the RTF document. None of it is produced. Is this normal? Not being able to show that information in the document is a real minus.

I think that is important to have it there. Unless I am missing how to access or display it in the RTF document. All of the checks are on but Changes and Defects.

Can you comment on that? Thanks!

Dennis

Hi,

These were originally left on the basis that the documentation for sequence elements would be contained in the associated classifier for each instance - however in retrospect this may not always be the best ... especially during early analysis.

I can set up a template option that would allow inclusion of Sequence element items if required ... you would need to create different templates for different situations.

Would this help,
Geoff Sparks

That would be great! The main thing to me is the ability to display all of the information that is contained on the individual tabs that are in the properties, similiar to what you do with any other element, such as UseCases, Activity diagrams, Analysis diagrams, etc. Having all of that available for documentation would be key for ME anyway!

Thanks for your consideration Geoff!
