Formatting in sequence diagrams
« on: March 19, 2002, 06:11:32 am »
When we select "Diagram Properties" and click "Show details on diagram" in a sequence diagram, the automatically generated text can not be re-positioned and tends to obscure the diagram elements in some cases. The text box is not even selectable, so the placement can not be configured.

Hi,

There is an alternative method to using that feature.

In the element toolbar - the one that has Boundary, Note, Text, Notelink, Hyperlink etc., there is also a button for Diagram Notes ... it is the blue 'note' button. Click on this to add a Text element that is internally linked to the diagram properties.

This is a moveable element that can also have the color changed etc.

Hope this helps,

Geoff Sparks

Much better. Could it maybe display the package name as well?  ;)  If you have too many analysis and design elements, some of the diagrams may end up having the same or similar names
