Ignore folders during source import?
« on: April 12, 2002, 02:36:48 am »
Hi,

is there any way to ignore folder during a java source directory structure import? Since I'm using CVS, I have those CVS folders locally in each source package folder which I don't want to to be imported to the logical view of course. Any way to ignore some folder names?

Regards
Michael

Hi,

Would it be sufficient to just exclude the folders that contain no Java source files? This shouldnt be too hard to add ... providing a tree view of the folder structure with the ability to select or deselct nodes would take a bit longer - and may only be used for the same purpose.

Let me know if the first option is OK.

Hi Geoff,

the first option would be great since it would solve two "problems". First my CVS folder problem would be solved and second it would prevent importing empty packages.

The other thing I meant shouldn't be as hard to implement as your second suggestion. I didn't mean to select some folders for exclusion but - as I suppose, much simpler - just specifying folder names (maybe with wildcards) to be excluded. So I could configure that I don't want CVS folders and folders beginning with "test" imported by specifying "CVS,temp*" as exclusion rules.

But as I said before, your first option is fully sufficient!
