Alternate path on Lifline of Sequence

Recently purchasd EA for my team and think it is great.

Currently working on Sequence Diagrams for our Use Cases and need to plot alternative paths on the lifeline of Objects and Actors.

Branching is fine to show a point where alternative messages emanate from source to destination, however we don't seem to be able to plot the alternative flow on the destination lifeline.

I could resort to using a second instance of the destination object, but that is not what I want, and is not really UML.

Any help will be much appreciated
