EA/MDG TFS intgeration
« on: December 06, 2006, 07:17:37 am »
Hi,

I've got EA6.5 with MDG2.1 for VS.NET 2005 installed.
In EA when i rightclick on a package (which is linked with a VS solution) and click "Add-In" -> "Visual Studio" there is a disabled menuitem "TeamFoundation Server".
I'm curious at what this does but can't get it enabled and i don't find a reference in the help.
I suspect its got nothing to do with version control but rather with providing an interface to TFS's work item so modellers can also use the work items from within EA.
Is this correct and how can i enable this?

You are right in thinking this option is to access TFS Work Items.

To have this option enabled, all you need to do is install the TFS client.

Ive got "MS VS2005 Team Explorer" installed (and can access TFS sourcecontrol and work items from within VS) which is the "TFS client" as far as i know?
