Problems using state diagrams

Hi users!

I found out that using state diagrams transitions to the same state are only drawn on the right side of the state symbol. Is there a possibility to shift it also to the other sides?
Another thing is that I could not manage to shift the arrow down to the lower right corner, it always stopped in the middle of the symbol. Any idea why?
