Someone has exported ERWin E/R Diagrams to EA ?

We have tried this with no success.

(We have ERWin 4.0 Build 1701 and we have exported to XML (XMI 1.1) with a CA AddIn.

Any ideas ?. We have a lot of work with ERWin... :'(

I have just been through a remodeling effort which involved tedious manual import from ERWin, so I strongly second Moreno's request. An import facility from Microsoft Repository should be considered (which, by the way, would permit imports from Visio as well).

Hi,

If someone can send me a detailed example of an ERWin xmi 1.1 file I will look at what can be done to provide and import facility for EA.

The difficulty is that a lot of variation can exist between models rendered in XMI by different tools ... so to some extent this needs to be loooked at on a case by case basis. An example of the ERWin format would help determine what (if any) changes need to be in place to handle the import.
