Controlling RTF documentation heading levels
« on: January 24, 2003, 02:59:16 pm »
Is there a way to control the RTF document heading level that EA assigns to a package? We're using bookmarks to include specific sections of an EA RTF document in a customer document. Unfortunately, the levels in EA's project explorer usually don't match the desired heading level in the resulting document.
Is there perhaps a way to use tagged values to accomplish this? Could we put a tagged value into the RTF document, maybe in a hidden font?
Do the RTF document templates have a way to substitute data from the project into the file?

Thanks

Mike

Hi Mike,

A small suggestion: there is a possibility to change the RTF template that is used to generate the RTF documents. See the resource tab (project browser) and templates. Add a new style to the RTF template list and change its properties:

Try to obtain information on RTF tags on the internet. What I've is the following: changed EA Heading 1 style to be RTF Heading 2 style and levelling.

When you generate a document, set the style to your newly created RTF style (instead of "basic" or "formal").

This is a very short explanation (don't have to much time right now  :-/), please reply if something is not clear.

Hope this is of any help,
Greetings,
Tjerk
