Class Diagram - Attribute/Operation Icons
« on: March 19, 2003, 01:52:16 pm »
I am a new EA user having used Rose previously and cannot seem to find a way to display the small visibility adornment icons which appear on the left side of attributes and operations within a Rose class diagram. All I can seem to get is the scope identifier such as "+", "-", and "#". Is there a way in EA to display the icons instead of text?

Thanks!

I think (pretty sure) that the the icons that Rose displays for attribute visibility
are Rose specific. I don't really care for the Rose icons anyway as they can be
very hard to see properly. Plus using the characters + - # to indicate visiblity
makes it easier to design on a white board  :)

Actually, the Visual Studio IDE has used the same set of decorators for projects, classes, methods and properties since the 1997 days. The point I'm trying to make is that Rose gives the user a choice to display/hide them. I am trying to find out if there is a setting similar to this in EA.
