Hi Sinu,

You need to export the model to XMI (rightclick, export) and tag the Unisys / Rose option. Then you can import the XMI into Rose using the, as I recall, the Unisys plugin. Search this forum for more details (and a link to the Rose plugin).

Greetings,
Tjerk

Hi Tjerk!

I have tried to export a package with a couple of activity diagrams from EA, and import it into Rose, but have encountered some problems.

For instance, swimlanes do not show up in the imported Rose diagram, Decisions are imported as States and Synchronizations are not imported at all.

I export using the Unisys/Rose format option in EA, and import to Rose using the "Unisys Rose UML Import/Export Facility", that is, the JCRUML add-in version 1.3.5.

Could you by any chance assist me, or direct me to a possible solution, I would be very greatful. It's very imported for us to be able to successfully transfer models from EA to Rose and vice versa.

Cheers,
Thomas

Hi Thomas,

I'm sorry, I don't have a copy of Rose available and thus cannot check your findings. Others might help you there.

One of the issues might be the version of XMI that is used. I do not know the conformance of both EA and Rose to the specific versions of XMI.

Maybe Geoff can help us here.

Greetings,
Tjerk
