how do I turn off auto layout on import?
« on: March 21, 2003, 10:04:19 am »
Probably another newbie question, but again, I can't find it in the documentation or discussion groups.

I have a data model of 22 classes which I have nicely layed out. Now, as you might expect, some minor tweaks/adjustments have been made to the schema. So, I go to the handy "import from odbc data source" tool to do a synchronization with my diagram.

My problem is, the synchronization causes the "auto layout" to be run, so now I get to spend a half hour or so re-laying out my diagram. Is it possible to stop auto layout from running on synchronize? I don't mind if the auto size gets run.

Also, is it possible to get auto layout to respect swimlanes?

I don't think what I want to do is currently possible, so I've submitted a feature request for this functionality.

Thank you Geoffrey!
