Finding Objects with Specific Tag Values

We have been numbering requirements objects to have a unique reference. Now we have discovered it would be nice to sort them by name to find duplicates. We could do that by removing the number from the name and putting it into a tag field.

I tried this by creating a tag field called ID and putting the requirement identifier in this field. When I do a find and check off the check box for tags, scenarios, etc., nothing is found. Am I just missing the point?  

Any ideas would be appreciated.
