Reporting problems
« on: March 13, 2007, 05:10:50 am »
Most people are complaining about things they don't get in their RTF reports.
I've got an other problem: I get things I don't want to have in my report!
At first I explain what I have been doing. At last I will make my point.

I've been using EA in combination with Raquest.
In Raquest I have documented requirements.
In EA I defined some UseCases and some Domain models.
I created relations between Requirements and UseCases; afterwards I created a RTF report.
This report contains the requirement information and the connection to the UseCases.
(Element>, Connector>, Target>, Element> ElementName ).
This report gives the result I needed and expected.

In the next step I created relations between the requirements and the Domain models.
When I generated the same RTF document (Requirements vs. UseCases) again,  I also got the relations with the domains in this report.
I understand that this is quit normal, the requirement shows all the related objects(both UseCases and Domain models).
But in this report I don't want to see the relation to the Domain models.

Is there a possibility that I only get the related objects (UseCases) in my report?

Yours sincerely,

Bart
