Projected Release Date - Code Generation templates
« on: August 06, 2003, 07:35:33 am »
Sparx,

Since I have not seen this option on my copy of EA, I'm assuming the following functionality has not yet been released.

"Code Generation templates: User customizable templates for all in-built languages, plus the ability to create new language definitions and templates for code generation. Ties in with the UML Profile support to provide extensible code generation (anything generation?) support in a model independent way. Due out in July 2003. "

If it has not yet been released, when will it be?

Thanks,

RB

Hi RB,

The code generation templates will be released with EA 3.60.  We expect to release EA 3.60 by the end of August.  This is a major release, incorporating many enhancements besides the code templates- Unicode support, version control support, User Interface updates, to name a few.

We are currently beta testing EA 3.60.  Any currently registered EA users interested in trialling the beta version, on non-production models may email:

[email protected]

Default code templates for Java, C++, and C# have been implemented, with Delphi, VB and VB .Net underway. Regression testing for forward generation and synchronisation of supported languages is underway, though we ask that people ensure all existing data has been backed up prior to installing and trialling the EA 3.60 beta version.

Regards,
Ben C.
