paste appearance - 3.6.636

We have "Paste Appearence" button. Where is the "Copy Appearance" button?.

Hi Sergio,

If you mean the buttons on the Format Tool toolbar, then the Copy style button is on the right side of the Paste style button.

Or you could select one of the saved styles and then press the paste button.

No, there is a "Paste Appearence" button close those you mention. Anyway when I try to "modify current style" nothing happens. I am trying all these in a 3.51.618 project. Perhaps it should be converted or something?

Hi Sergio,

I'm using 3.60.637, but I think I still can help you. I've got a paste appearance button as well, but that seems to be a leftover from refactoring to the new version of EA (always disabled). I guess it now is all Style instead of Appearance.

The "Modify current style" menu item does not change the selected element, but it changes the stored style to the style of the selected element  .

So in the new build, the Copy/Apply style button should work for you. In your build, I'm not sure...

I am trying with 3.6.639 now and still "get style" , "apply style" and "save style" do not work. I hope following builds will fix this bug.

I'm not sure now what does not work. If I want to copy a style of an element, I do the following:

Select element with the style to copy;
Press the Get Style button;
Select element on which the style must be pasted;
Press the Apply Style button;

The diagram and the elements should not be locked. If this doesn't help you, could you explain the steps you perform, just to be sure we're talking about the same thing?

Hi Tjerk! I do exactly the same. I distinguish (in a use case diagram) with different color use cases already made and not yet finished. All that I want to do is to "copy" the "already made" color to the "not finished" entity, but does not work. Does this works for you?

As there is a dimmed "paste appearance" button, I thought that maybe there is a "copy appearence" button
