Sharing Modified Code Generation Templates
« on: September 23, 2003, 06:22:46 pm »
All,

I want to create "custom" code templates on my machine and share these with other team members. Is there an easy way to do this? Is copy and paste the only way?

Thanks,

Rich

Sparx,

I would really appreciate it if I could have this acknowledged. Is this something that can be easily done now? Is this a feature for a future release? Is this not even under consideration?

To the best of my knowledge, the only solution is to copy and paste several blocks of text for each language. From an efficiency standpoint, this does not cut it.

Thanks,

Rich

Hello Rich,

When you make custom code template, you can
export and import custom template data from
'Tools' -> 'Export(import) Reference Data...'.

After select the menu item, you can find 'xxx_Code_Template' in the list.

T.Kouno,

I appreciated your reply. It is a bit interesting; it only appears if you have changed the template. In a way this makes sense, you probably would not want to export the "standard" template.  However, at a first glance, is not 100% clear you can export these if you have not modified the template.

Thanks,

Rich
