Underlined object names on sequence diagrams?

Object names on my sequence diagrams aren't underlined.  I created a class, did a drag and drop while holding Ctrl, and selected "Paste Element into Diagram"/"as Instance of Element (Object)".  If I add an (unclassifed) object to my sequence diagram from the Sequence toolbox, it is not underlined either.  If I drag and drop an instance of a class to an activity diagram, its name is underlined.  

Is there a way to underline the object names on sequence diagrams?  I have 3.60.653 installed.  (This question is similar to the one on http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=general;action=display;num=1045508417;start=0#0)
