Lost my project browser
« on: January 17, 2004, 11:56:08 pm »
Hi all,

when playing around EA I lost my project browser and can't switch it back on.  (sorry but didn't notice at once and can't remember how it happened)
It even claims to be switched on ("View" -> "Project Browser" is ticked).
Pressing Alt-0 doen't open the project browser but sounds an alert (ding).
Has anybody seen such a thing and knows how to get that fixed?
TIA,
Alexander

Further investigation showed that I seemingly have a currupt database.
Project Integrity Check reports 20 problems: Item=Connector, Action=Propose: Add Foreign Key Information.

I recovered old dumps of the project (stored in MySQL);  they all show the same problem with data integrity.

Even newly created projects start without the project browser and I cannot open it.

Note that I recently upgraded to build 658.

A reinstall (i.e. automatic uninstall and install) didn't help either.

You may have resized the Project Browser to almost zero width... try to grab the right border of the window and resize it.

Have you tried View | Visual Layouts | Default Layout?

Thanks,

"Default Layout" did it.
