Bruno, we'd love to try it out.   Which version of Designer does it support?  We're running on version 6, but also have a couple of 9i repositories we could try it out on.

George,

the beta version we will release in two days works with 9i, version that works with both 9i and 6i shall be available shortly afterwards.
I will send you the link to the tool as soon as it is released!

Thanks,

Hi Bruno

I'd like to show it to our Oracle people and see what they think.  Let me know when you release.

Will do Sean!
Just out of curiousity, do you happen to know what features of Oracle Designer do they use besides Entity Relationship Diagrams?

Hi Bruno

I have no idea I'm afraid.  We have about 5 people on Oracle development, but I know not what they do, let alone how they are doing it!!!

Hi,

If you're looking for Beta testers, than I can offer my help as well.  We have a 6i Repository, and also have access to a few 9i Repositories where I can try it out.

Cheers,
Gary

Gentlemen,

my apologies, I have been out of the office for past few days and returned only now. Beta version of Convertor of ERD from Oracle Designer to Enterprise Architect has been released and is available for download here:

www.standardcase.com/download/EAORADES.zip

You will also need to download a runtime:
www.standardcase.com/download/PBCLTRT90.zip

This is a beta version that has been developed to work with Oracle Designer 9i. It has not been tested with 6i (the testing of with 6i starts today).

When you start the tool, you will be asked for a username and password. Please use your e-mail address as username, password is of your choice (and for the purposes of the beta version is of no importance as we have switched the authentication temporarily off).

I will appreciate any feedback or comments!

Thanks,
Bruno Cossi
