Hiding Object Names on Activity Diagrams
« on: March 29, 2004, 11:48:49 am »
Is there a way to hide the names of certain objects, such as initial states and decisions, on activity diagrams?

I could eliminate the names entirely, but then it becomes difficult to identify one decision from another in the project view and various dialogs.  I could also change the font to match the background, but that's a little ugly as well.

Any ideas?  Thanks in advance...

Brian

BTW, I'm still using EA 3.6.

Brian, for what it’s worth, I typically do not name decisions or the initial/final nodes.  It looks a little ugly in the project tree… but I find I can manage them by selecting them on a diagram and typing Alt-G (or select from the context menu).

Hi jps -- thanks for your reply.

I understand your reasoning and Alt-G works fine for the project tree.  However, there are situations where I need to change the source or target of a flow line, for example, and need to select a decision element from a drop down list.  With many unnamed decision elements in the diagram it's impossible to distinguish one from another.
