3.0 prompting for license key when 4.0 is there

HI,

 I installed 4.0 build 723 and then I installed the patch ea400.zip and then I installed the legacy version of
3.6.

 4.0 is working fine. But, when I open 3.6 it  prompts for the registration key. Once I enter the correct key, it says, it is invalid.

 I need to run both.
