Diagrams in RTF report
« on: August 09, 2004, 07:56:21 am »
We are creating RTF reports from many of the use case diagrams. These reports are imbeded in the requirements documents which become a part of the documentation for the application.

The problem we are experiencing is that the RTF documents are saved upon creation. But when we go to open them later, the diagrams have all disappeared.

Same thing happens when we send the RTF report to others as attachments. They open the document only to find that the diagrams are no longer included.  Are we doing something wrong? Or is this bug in EA?

It is possible that when you are creating you rtf documentation that you have the the Embed Diagrams in Document option unchecked in the Rich text Format Report. This will cause diagrams to be saved in a seperate images folder. If you want to embed the diagrams in the RTF use the following instructions.

From the Project Menu select Documentation | Rich Text Format Report. Then in the Options pane of the Rich Text Format Report Dialog check the Embed Diagrams in Document.

Hope this works for you.
