I have created a database on SQL Server 2005 Beta 2 and ran the SQLSvr_BaseModel.sql script.  This executed without errors.

I then Upsized the base.eap model into this database without errors.

I am running into problems adding elements onto a diagram.  I receive the following error upon dropping the element....

"Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server [-2147217833]

String or binary data would be truncated."

After clicking OK on this message dialog box the element is added to the diagram and I am able to modify it.

This message also occurs when I save the diagram.

If the model is closed and re-opened all diagrams and elements are present.

I understand that this is a beta product and may not work correctly at this point.  Please let me know if you wish me to stop posting messages about this topic.  I am going to continue testing as this is the only database server I have available from this machine at this time.

Hi Owen,

I am much interested in your experiences with SQL Server 2005 - soon, we may have to deal with the same issue.

Thanks!
