Synchronizing Oracle and EA model
« on: June 12, 2007, 03:51:20 am »
With EA I reverse-engineer a particular Oracle schema/owner/user. Work continues on the Oracle database and, amongst other changes, a table or view that I reverse-engineered is deleted on Oracle. I reverse-engineer again to pick up the latest changes from Oracle. EA cannot remove the table/view, that is no longer in Oracle, from the model since it is not clear whether the table in the model was created via GUI or via the reverse-engineering process. Or is it clear? Is there some way via automation that I can identify that a table was created because of reverse-engineering and that since it is no longer on the database it can be removed from the model?
