Reverse Engineering Oracle 8i Database
« on: August 06, 2004, 06:41:48 am »
Hi,

I am currently evaluating EA (build732) and am trying to reverse engineer an Oracle 8i database.

The stereotyped classes for the Tables are created correctly but there does not seem to be any associations created to represent foreign keys.

Am I doing soemthing wrong or is this feature not supported?

I'd appreciate any help you could provide.

I too ran into the exact same problem but with a 9i database. I used an account with DBA privs so I don't think it was a privilege problem. I was able to do this successfully with Rational Rose! Any progress on your part?

For me it works fine

I'm using EA Build 735,
Oracle 9.2.0.1.0 on XP,
and the Oracle ODBC driver

I just tried it with scott/tiger and
an other schema

cheers

Well it definately didn't work before no matter what I did.

But thankfully it does work for me now too with EA 4.10 Build 736 and using the MS Oracle ODBC driver.

Thanks for your responses
