Truncated Images
« on: July 18, 2004, 06:02:34 pm »
I am getting a truncation of PNG and GIF images in both HTML and RTF documents.

Here is the process I am using:

Add the PNG (or GIF) image into the Image Manager.  The file is a screen snapshot about 6 inch x 6 inch (61K size)

In a Daigram....
Add "Screen" object from under Custom Tollbox.
Right Click.
Appearance >> Select Alternate Image.
Click chosen image >. Click OK.
Generate HTML.

Only the left-most one inch of the image is displayed.

I have increased the Image Memory Limit to 512 MB - didn't fix problem.

The problem started after upgrading to version 4.10.731.

Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong.

Thanks,
Ben

I'm having the same problem as well.  I am preparing a mini-presentation in Microsoft Powerpoint and wanted to use a sequence diagram I constructed in EA.

The workaround I am using is to do an ALT-PrintScreen and capture the diagram (yes, and the EA window around it as well  :P), then paste the image into Powerpoint.

Not an ideal solution, but it was the only way I could get the whole diagram onto one slide.

You can also do Select All Elements > Copy to clipboard in EA and then Paste in Powerpoint (or any other Office product). It works much the same like, for example, with Visio, much simpler than the screenshots :-)

I followed your steps and it worked witout a problem. I'm using build 741. Maybe you should give it a try with a newer release.
