CallOperationAction - Associations...
« on: December 28, 2004, 03:06:30 am »
Hi all!

Can anybody give me a hint how to set class and operation of an CallOperationAction? I can use a CallOperationAction in my diagram, but I can't  define the operation or its realising class :(
The behavioral classifier isn't really a solution...

Thanks in advance,

Alex

Hi all!

I've been given the following answer by the support team:

"At the moment, we have only implemented half of the functionality. That is, you can drag an operation from the Project View onto an activity diagram and it will create a CallOperationAction. So, for your example, dragging an operation "Operation" from a class "Class" will create a
CallOperationAction called "Operation (Class::)". Then you can rename the action to "ActionName" and it will be displayed as "ActionName (Class::Operation)" as required.

In one of the next few releases of EA, we will be introducing some means of selecting class and operation from a pick-list after the CallOperationAction has been created."

Greetings,

Alex
