Can't reassign maintenance sub-type (if wrong)

In the maintenance window, if you're in the wrong pane, you can't change the sub-type (say from issue to defect).

I had to go into the database to fix it...

I guess you mean Issue and Change ELEMENTS. I got confirmation that this will be fixed in a future release.
