Node and component compact-form
« on: April 28, 2005, 06:18:47 am »
Hi There,

Was a happy EA 3.5 user and is currently test-driving v4.5.

I have unsuccessfully tried to find a way to:

1. Display components in the "black-box notation" as displayed in figure 82 in the UML Superstructure spec. (Other compartments from figure 84 would also be great).

2. Display nodes in "textual list" as displayed in figure 132 in the UML Superstructure spec.

Hope someone can provide some directions.

Cheers,

Jonas

Try to drag a interface from the toolbox onto the component. You will have a lollipop/socket after creation. This is an equivalent of picture 82. You can also hide the interfaces completely: right click the component and select Embedded Elements... AFAIK the variant shown in pic 82 can not be produced by EA.

For 132 you can use a sterotyped Artifact.
