Find and Replace
« on: May 06, 2005, 05:35:43 am »
Hi Guys,

Another simple question from the new guy.

How do I find and replace across the whole of my use-case model. i.e change actors names in my use-cases scenarios.

Currently, I can Edit->Find to locate them but am having to make the changes by hand.

Cheers, Pete (aka lad4bear)

You might go directly to the database :-/ Check out t_object

Agreed, not too scary when you get used to it...  Had to resort to it yesterday, myself.  But you shouldn't have to! ::)

Search and Replace is a REALLY important function for maintaining model .... .... .... consistency! ;D  It should be a standard function!

In addition, using the DB you can still miss stuff.  Whereas a properly implemented UI function (with automation tie-in) will get ALL the occurrences.

Put in an enhancement request...
