Moving elements in the RTF-editor
« on: May 24, 2005, 12:10:50 pm »
I don't know if anyone else has noticed it already, but moving elements up and down in the RTF-editor often goes terribly wrong. Bummer.

This happens so regularly that I have given up even attempting to change the positions of the element tags.

For example, create a new template derived from the basic template, and then try to move the attributes table to before the requirements element.

On the way up you'll noticed that it gets engulfed in the defect table and upon continuing it then disappears completely.  :(

Will this get fixed?

Are you moving the Attributes in the Sections tree or in the Content Area?

I have tried the same process but moved the Attributes table above the Requirements without a problem using the up/down hands in the Section area.  Once defined in the Section area it is not alterable in the Content area.

According to me it is not possible to move the tags and their contents via the content window.

When I try that I get the following error message: "The selection contains protected text."

However, the weird thing is that while the original section has not changed, now there is a copy of it above where I moved it.

Checking and unchecking it in the sections tree only effects the first occurence of the copied tag and not the second.

Weird.
