AE 5.0 Crashes when trying to model MS Access
« on: May 25, 2005, 01:58:14 pm »
I cannot seem to get the import shema to work with MS ACCESS 2003 on Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 machine.  I check the MS Jet 4.0 option, which allowed me to select the tables to import, but it would crash after a short time of processing.  I even tried it with a brand new Access with just Customer table generated by MS Access wizard and it still doesn't work.  Can anyone help me?

Ash,

I have sent an e-mail to your support email with a screen shot of the  failure and a copy of the databases that I was trying to import.  Just this morning.   I have another question.  Is there a way to import a MS SQL Server DDL script directly into AE or do I have to run the script to create the database and then import it once it is built?

Thxs,
Bao

Not as yet, although we do intend to add this feature in the future.
For the moment, you will have to create the database and import from there.
