5.0 RTF Template Editor - Does not print gridlines
« on: May 31, 2005, 08:13:03 am »
Hi, it seems that  the new RTF generator won't print table gridlines.  I have edited the use case template to my liking.  I use a table to generate the steps in a use case scenario, but when I generate the RTF and go to print it, the gridlines do not show up.  I can manually create a grid in Word, but this is a pain.  Is there a way to make the code template editor do this?

The help file indicates that gridlines will not print, but can I request support for this?

As far as I can see, this is the way MS Word prints tables: gridlines are never printed! If you create a table in MS Word, it default to a black border 1 point thich. You can do that with EA's RTF editor too. You might want to try a border 1 point thick and e.g. with a gray color to have your gridlines (more properly called border now) show up.

I do not believe this to be the case.  Try this:

Open MS Word

Insert Table

Print Preview -- gridlines appear by default.

EA's RTF output makes them invisible by default, and I have to manually turn them on.
