FRAME ABOUT DIAGRAM
« on: April 18, 2005, 04:32:43 pm »
When I click "Print Preview", diagram appears with a frame about of all objets grouped. How do I avoid the frame?

Tools | Options |Diagram | uncheck "Print with border."

This frame is other than border page. Seems to be all objects of diagram are in the frame. If last object up or down, the frame will be up or down, independent to the border page.

Ah I see - I thought you meant on the printed page - not the preview.

There are several settingd for you to check out here.

1) the default page border option as I said before
2) the Diagram frames section of the same Options page
3) the Show Page Border option on the (selected) diagram properties

Has it got a "sticker" in the top LH corner?  i.e. is it actually a frame.

If not, check printer driver settings???

Can you send a screen shot of the Print Preview page and a screen shot of the Local Options->Diagram page to [email protected] please? Thanks.

Hi KP,

Any progress on this?  I'm getting it on some diagrams (older ones imported from Rose - I think) versus newer ones created local to EA.  That is, the Rose diagrams have it, the EA ones don't.

Is this held in the DB?  I can fix it from there until you provide a final fix.  As has been mentioned, it's very annoying... (AND INCONSISTENT ;D)

OBSERVATION:  If you have the Diagram Frames: On Saved Images checked on the Options - Diagram page, you will get a frame on the printed output regardless of the setting for On Printed Images. :o

To suppress frame both options need to be unchecked!

Cheerz,
Paolo

Some further input from Neil @  Sparx: :)

Hello Paolo,

If you have "Scale to 1 Page" selected (Diagram Properties dialog, click
the "Advanced" button under Page Size), EA will temporarily save the
diagram in order to scale it, which is why the frame appears if "Diagram
Frames on Saved Images" is checked. It ought to be fixed, but since
there's an easy work-around (just uncheck the option) it's low priority
so I can't say when it will be done.
