EA Lite : standalone ? (no install rights)
« on: July 09, 2005, 06:55:50 am »
Hello !

I'm working on a school network and I don't have install rights. I'd like to be able to read and open EA Lite ; is there a
installation-free version (standalone) of EA Lite ? Of course, I'd like to be able to edit my diagrams, but at least I could read and show the project files to my teacher.

The perfect thing would be to install the licensed version of EA Lite on my own disk drive and I can run EA from it when I'm at school, is it possible at all ?

If I can't do this, it means I have to be home in order to show or edit my diagrams and that would be not useful !

Hello Sébastien,

I am not sure whether simply copying the .EXE and .DLL files onto the school computer will do the trick, you can certainly try it. It sounds to me though that instead of trying to find a workaround, you may want to talk to your teacher and get the EA Lite installed :-)
