How to link a note on association?

I´ve an assonciation X between element A and B... I've a note Y... It's impossible to link the Note with the association, the link glues to A or B but not X.. Why?

Am I doing something wrong? Please help!

I don't believe you can associate an existing note with an association.  However, if you right-click on the association, you'll see a "Note or Constraint" option.

After you choose 'Note' and confirm the association (checked by default), you can add (or paste in) the text from Note Y.

Add: the context note for associations lets you select multiple assocs on the diagram to be connected with the note. A bit weird and also discussed in broad - just take it as it is.
