No, you don't need to draw all diagram types for each project.  You just draw the ones that communicate what you are trying to say.  The persons with whom you are communicating should read them; Developers, students, clients, code generators, etc.

Depends on what you are trying to communicate; a framework, a profile, a design pattern,a specific web site instance etc., and with whom you are trying to communicate.

UML models are graphical forms of communication, or notations for self reference, that use abstraction and modeling as a communication style.  They are often backed up with a textual description of the model.  Like any other form of communication, you write to your intended reader, explain yourself fully, and avoid ambiguity.

Your question is very vague and general.  It is like stating that you know the Engilsh language, but which words should I use and what kind of paragraphs should I write.  Perhaps if you got more specific?

Verbal Use Cases aren't worth the paper they are written upon.

thx Jim

for example if my project is a dynamic web site for small - medium company that needs to represent its products through the web and the site must contain product catalogue and a shopping cart ...

what diagrams do i need to draw for the customer to approve my design (not the graphics and menu but the system) and what diagrams do i need to draw for developers to work through?

also where can i find the answer for the question : what is the perfect use for each kind of UML diagrams?

so sorry for being pushy :)
Thx alot
Ahmed

I'd recommend to read a few books (search this board for "Dummies"). Your questions aren't much more specific than before and it's taking a lot of time to answer them.
