Oracle Errors - Data transfer of EABase.EAP
« on: September 12, 2005, 06:14:00 am »
I have recently created an Oracle EA Data repository, ran the Oracle9i_BaseModel.sql against the database and then applied the EABase.EAP through data transfer method (as per help). However, when I come to select the base structure (any of the folders in the project view) I get an Oracle error "OraOLEDB [-2147217900] ORA-00928: missing SELECT keyword". ???

Has anyone encountered this issue before or does anyone know how to resolve? Please let me know.

Note that I am running version 5.00.766 (build 766) of EA, under database version 4.01.

Thanks in advance.
Clueless :'(

In the Data Link Properties dialog, make sure you connect using "Oracle Provider for OLE DB", not "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle".

If you still have problems, please submit a bug report to Sparx.
