New RTF Document Generator for Virtual Documents?
« on: September 20, 2005, 10:12:58 am »
The build 770 release notes include the following line:

Quote
Added support for Model Document and Single-element document generation using the revised RTF Generator.

I interpret this to mean that the new RTF generator can now be used when generating Model Document/Virtual Document elements.

However, I can't for the life of me find out how to do it.  Whenever I try to generate a virtual document element it just gives me the legacy RTF generator dialog.  There's no button to switch to the new generator, and there seems to be no option to set either.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Martin.

Tried that now for the first time. Obviously it's now F8 (or Project/Documentation) that does the job, since Element/Documentation is now greyed out (does it make sense any more ???). The output "seems" to be half way correct, but at least the heading did not make sense. Is there any help update ("Generate a report for the currently selected package in rich text format" is definitely wrong since the option is still grey when at a package) ???

Thanks Thomas - you are right, it does seem to be triggered by generating the entire diagram and not the element.

The Element generation is still available, but you have to first select the document element in the diagam before it will ungrey the option - but this of course brings up the legacy RTF generator, so it's not completely consistent.

Cheers,
Martin.
