Alternative platform distribution
« on: September 23, 2005, 06:09:47 am »
I am interested in using Enterprise Architect at my company for designing with UML. However all designers do not necessarily have access to a machine with Windows installed. Is there a Unix / Linux / Solaris distribution of the software at all?

Many thanks,

Hi Richard,

have a look at Running EA on Linux: Installation and Use.

I hope that helps.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I believe that running the software through CrossoverOffice would add support issues and possible extra costs of the Windows sofware. I was more interested in a potential build of the software under Linux/Unix/Solaris, rather than emulating the environment it normally operates in.
