 What is the best way to upgrade Ea5.0 to a new release.

Download the update-zip and replace the files.

Are there any disadvantages in downloading the full update and install this (except the filesize)?

Didn't find any difference (I used both upgrade and full install). The upgrade saves download time and installs faster. Never had a problem so far...
