EA refuses to read sskeys.dat
« on: October 07, 2005, 01:27:02 am »
When starting EA after installation I am asked to add a license key. Since we are using shared licenses I then point out the sskeys.dat file in our keystore. Unfortunatly, EA then says:

Error reading keystore file:
Access to <path>\sskeys.dat was denied.

Now, since I can open the file in notepad, this would propably not be entirely true. And since it works for other users using the same file it is even more odd. And yes, there are unused licenses.

So. What am I doing wrong?

Hello Thorman,

Basically it's necessary to add both read/write access rights of WindowsOS.

Please check the access rights of sskeys.dat for all users
who uses EA.
(for both network shared directory access rights and
access rights of the file itself)

Hope this helps.
