Not sure whether I got you right, but you can layout these connectors as any connector in EA. That is: use a lines style or bend at cursor position (both in context menu, latter also by ctrl-click).

Ok I was looking for the assembly connector, and I didn't notice the dropdown arrow on the component toolbox.

Look in the Composite tab of the toolbox. Right in the middle.

Hi!

I'm using EA 5.0 (Corporate Edition) and I fail to find the Assemby connector in the Toolbox. I don't see the Composite tab either.

Please, help!

It is just a design 'feature' of EA.

There is an arrow under the Composite tool box - only it looks like it belongs to the toolbox below, Communication. Click on the arrow, and le voila, the assembly connector appears

Thanks for the try, but what I see is anything but not the "Composite" toolbox. I have "Structure" and then "Communication" comes below. No "Composite".

What version of EA do you use? Mine is 5.00.769.

Should I upgrade?

There's a way to add/remove/customize toolboxes via Tools\Options\UML Element Toolbox.

For some reason, the Composite toolbox wasn't checked there...
