About upgrade
« on: December 01, 2005, 10:31:08 am »
Our company is considering buying EA, wondering.

1. If we buy 6.0, and later 7.0 came out. Is there any fee to upgrade to 7.0, same edition: Professional.

2. Same question for upgrading MDG Link

3. Does Sparx Systems have any plan to support c# 2.0? With Collection.Generic, it will be easy to use "Aggregation" or "Composition" in Class Diagrams and have round trip between code

What I know fur sure is that any upgrade is free for the year you purchase (and later prolong) a license.

I guess it's the same for MDG.

What do you mean later prolong? Do you mean almost always free?

You pay for a licence.
All updates are free (at the level paid for - Corporate, etc.) from that date for 1 year.
You can renew the licence for another year at a lower cost than buying again.

Currently the MDG Link software does not require renewal, this may change in the future, but you can be assured that the minimum level of support for the MDG Link and the upcoming MDG Integrate for VS 2005 will be for 12 months.
