RTF templates - help Required
« on: December 18, 2005, 06:29:26 pm »
Hi,

I am using EA ver. 6 (corporate edition).

I am trying to create a RTF template which will capture the requirement definition. I have created 5 packages which should get mapped in this document. The ordering of these packages in this document is dynamic.

The content of the document should be as below.

Table of Contents
Requirements # 1  (Package # 3)
Static Text
Requirements # 2  (Package # 5)
Requirements # 3  (Package # 1)
Static text
Requirements #4  (Package # 2)

Summary
Requirements #5  (package #4)

Please let me know how one can achieve this in EA.

Thanks,
Chetan

sort your packages in the order you want to have
and run your template on the parent package.
you have to set in Document Options:
Order Packages by "Tree Order"

The static text must be inserted manually after the generation.

You may use a template for every package making 5 docs. Than insert them as links in MS Word.

I mean:

Table of Contents (MS Word field)
Linked document with Package #3
Static text (written in Word)
Linked document with Package #5
Linked document with Package #1
Static text (written in Word)
Linked document with Package #2

Summary (written or generated and linked)
Linked document with Package #4
