How do I find the orphans?
« on: January 19, 2006, 08:54:06 pm »
Previous versions of EA had a search function (Ctrl+F) which had an additional feature of finding all unattached elements. It was a great way to clean up the EA model.

But now the search function is different and minus the orphan search - can someone advise where its been moved to?

Thanks!
Kim

Iv' found it after I pressed the "Advanced" button of the Ctrl-F Find function

and then select in the "search list" field "find orphans" !

Just in case you didn't realise.  You don't need to go advanced to get this.  Just select the Find Orphans search.

By the way.  This also has the advantage that you can include some search text to limit what is found.  If you want to use the advanced search you could do more interesting things such as orphaned classes or orphaned elements with tests in the current package.

Thanks for that!  ;D I feel like an idiot now - don't know how I kept missing that dropdown list!

Cheers,
