Color Coded Diagram and other Grouping questions
« on: January 24, 2006, 08:47:37 am »
Hi - I've got a single Class Diagram that is a high level view of several systems.  Is there a way to but a grid around each section and set the background colors to show the distinction - or any other way to do this type of identification?

Also, I've got a class with several generalizations off of it - is there a way to have these branch to a single line - other than draging the little triangles on top of each other?

Thanks for any help!

For coloured backgrounds you could try using swimlanes.

Right click on each generalization connector and select "Tree Style".  Set this as the default for new connectors by setting "Generalization link style Default = Tree" at Tools | Options | Objects.

Here's an example og how I do it.  Not a good example as its got a lot red in in it but...

re generalizations - set the link style to "Tree Style" in the context menu.
