Error writing XML file when controlling package...

I am using subversion on a remote server - everything works fine and we have been using this for > 1year without problems.

I am now trying to use package control for distributed development work. HOwever, after setting the package filename and CVS to use it attempts to write the XML export file (using EA XMI) every attempt results in an error to write the export file...and an empty file results, thus making the package control feature unworkable.

Any ideas to get me working??
