Auto Route/Direct Settings

I located under Tools > Options | Objects a means to set connector routing by default to Auto Route (Routed), which creates orthagonal lines by default.

The problem is when I click the "Auto Layout" button, the auto layout doesn't observe this setting and changes all the lines to "Direct".  The only way to change these lines back is to individually select each line and CTRL-SHIFT-A it.  In other posts, users have requested the ability to select all objects on a diagram and mass-change the connectors to another style, but I suppose this would take time to implement (a Visitor to each connector object, a-la-iterator fashion?   Something would be nice!)

The auto-arrange feature is really handy when creating a new class diagram, when I'm pounding out lots of new classes and getting an idea of what my associations will be and how the classes fit together.  Maintaining user line-style preference under auto-arrange or otherwise would improve the UI.  

Is there currently a way (and I just missed it), or is this on the short-term roadmap?
