Oracle Data Types incorrectly reverse engineered
« on: February 24, 2006, 11:07:22 am »
I am using EA 6,1,785 Build 785.  I imported Oracle Schema using "Project -> Database Engineering -> Import DB Schema from ODBC".  To my surprise the all of the imported tables attributes / column in EA have datatype as VARCHAR.  I checked the property of each tables and it is set correct as Oracle.

This seems to work fine with MySQL.

Am I doing something wrong?

Never mind.  It's an issue with Oracle ODBC 8i driver.  I tried with Oracle 9i driver and it worked.

I experienced problems with Oracle 10g store procedure ... have U tried to import any ???

When importing >1500 store I had to confirm mouse-clicking one by one ... a nightmare

my EA version is the latest build 787
